7 CORNISH COLLEGE COMBO with RANDY HALBERSTADT
Featuring talented jazz undergraduate students from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle! Directed by Randy Halberstadt, a multi-dimensional pianist and tremendous jazz educator.
14 DAN TAYLOR/MATT WENMAN ENSEMBLE - 7PM
Featuring two, phenomenal local educators and musicians! Matt Wenman is the Director of Bands at Mount Si High School, recently leading Jazz I to a coveted finalist spot in NYC’s Essentially Ellington Competition. He’s also an accomplished alto sax player and graduate of CWU! Pianist Dan Taylor, also a CWU grad, is the Band & 8th Grade Choir Director at Twin Falls Middle School. Come on down!
21 CHRISTIAN HENRIKSEN PROJECT - 7PM
Henriksen is a senior at Mount Si High School and the principal bassist for their Jazz Band I. He’d been seen here regularly with what was called the “CCK Workshop,” but now has his own project night! Featuring an outstanding group of students!

Mount Si High School's Jazz I has been selected as a finalist in the Essentially Ellington competition hosted by Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City! This will be a great evening of dinner and music by the band in an effort to raise funds for their trip. This event is sold out!

Local music students & rising stars take the stage for a jazz jam! Featuring students from the award-winning jazz bands at Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, WA, Twin Falls Middle School in North Bend, WA and Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City, WA. With Chris Clark on bass. Middle schoolers perform at 5PM, followed by high schoolers at 7PM!

Fun loving, hard-swingin' Seattle jazz vocalist who approaches music with strong, rhythmic sensibility, an infectious sense of humor and straight-on honesty. Bourne is a steady and unassuming figure on the Seattle jazz scene and performs at nightspots, private functions and festivals throughout the Northwest. Check out her latest album "As the Fates Decide"! Also with amazing pianist Clendenin, known for his exquisite interpretations & mixing of musical styles.
10 CHRIS SYMER’S STRING DUO
Symer is a wonderful, versatile bassist who has played extensively in the Seattle & LA jazz scenes! Exceptionally creative and featuring a full, consistent sound. Joined by Gregg Belisle-Chi on guitar.
17 CWU JAZZ BAND & MSHS JAZZ I - Special Event!
Featuring the premier, award-winning jazz ensemble from CWU, this group focuses on a wide variety of big band literature written from the 1940s-present. Also joined by Mount Si High School’s Jazz Band I whose accolades are numerous, including receiving a coveted finalist spot in the NYC Essentially Ellington Competition! Join us for a fun night of special guests and an exciting celebration of jazz education!
24 BUTCH NORDAL & CHRIS CLARK
Pianist Nordal demonstrates his “masterful” technique and signature style! His albums have delighted serious jazz fans all around the world. He’s also a highly-respected big band composer, witty journalist and jazz educator! Joined by jazz legend and bassist Clark who played all through the Los Angeles hey-day, going back to his appearance with Les Brown's Band in "The Nutty Professor," starring Jerry Lewis.

4 PETE GALLIO TRIO
Known for his intensity and flexibility, Pete plays tenor, baritone, alto and soprano saxophones, as well as flute and clarinet. He’s an exceptional musician who has toured around the world with some of the industry's top artists including Maynard Ferguson, Tommy Dorsey, KC and the Sunshine Band and many others! He came from solid musical foundations attending the University of Miami and University of North Texas music programs. Pete teaches saxophone and plays with a number of Seattle, Dallas and West Coast bands, touring frequently.
11 MILO PETERSEN & GARY STEELE QUARTET
Renowned Seattle guitarist, drummer and composer whose lines are boppish and melodic! Milo has been active in the Pacific Northwest jazz community since the late 70's. He has performed with some of the world's finest, including Joe Sample, Ernestine Anderson, Herb Ellis, Mose Allison and more, in addition to recording two CDs with master drummer Elvin Jones! Joined by special guest saxophonist Gary Steele.
18 GREG WILLIAMSON QUARTET
Drummer Williamson is Mr. Pony Boy Records himself, leading an awesome jazz quartet and "[driving] with a big band energy!" He's appeared on over 30 albums and toured with the big bands of Woody Herman, Glenn Miller and Harry James. Check out his other groups: The Pony Boy All-Star Big Band and the Young Lizards, as well as his latest album “Scenes and Voyages”!

Greta Matassa is one of the most talented singers working in jazz today. She has been voted "Northwest Vocalist of the Year" by Earshot Jazz seven times in 15 years! Greta has been a mainstay on Seattle's Jazz stages for many years and with her recent successful dates at New York's Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center, tours of Russia, Singapore and Hawaii and Japan, Greta's sound is now reaching new audiences. Greta has released seven CD's and a DVD live concert with guitarist Mimi Fox. Greta is also a respected teacher and has been on faculty at Jazz Camp West, Drayton Harbor Jazz Festival and The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival. She has a thriving private teaching practice and is releasing an instructional e-book in 2014 and new CD in 2015. Joined by Darin Clendenin, piano; Clipper Anderson, bass & Greg Williamson, drums.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dave Peck is recognized as an outstanding composer, arranger and pianist. He is known for his focus on the profound beauty he finds in the narrative of this music and has been lauded by the jazz press for his award-winning albums! From 1978 to 1996, Dave performed as pianist and composer for legendary saxophonist Bud Shank. Foster is a marvelous pianist from Vancouver, BC who puts his energy and enthusiasm into his musical phrasing and grooves!
