The talented music students at Twin Falls Middle School in North Bend, WA perform some favorite tunes for their annual music department fundraiser!Students are encouraged to perform solos or in small groups on their band instrument, voice, or any other instrument they can play well. Cascade Jazz provides a creative blend of standard, modern and original jazz fused with world and classical music, serving up the mixture with energy and elegance! They've been delighting audiences since 2000 in many Western Washington venues. Jazz in the key of Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Ray Charles, Louis Jordan, Chick Corea and more! With Susanna Fuller, voice; John Chmaj, piano, Brian Gmerek, drums and special guests.

Joined by an incredible professional rhythm section, so come prepared with charts for a favorite jazz standard or blues - support your fellow vocalists in the Greater Seattle area!
11 KRISTIN KORB TRIO - Special Guest from Denmark!
Bassist/vocalist Kristin Korb tours internationally as a performer, clinician, and guest artist with numerous jazz ensembles. While studying privately with jazz bass icon Ray Brown, he arranged for her first recording with his trio, “Introducing Kristin Korb”, on Telarc Records. On Kristin’s 2013 release “What’s Your Story?”, she dug deep into her long-standing relationship with classic jazz material and those musical personalities who influenced her. Out of those relationships and experiences, a more developed and diverse musician is emerging, as well as “Finding Home”.
Kristin has taught at the University of Southern California where she was coordinator of vocal jazz studies, Azuza Pacific University, Grossmont Community College and was Director of Jazz Studies at Central Washington University. As President-Elect of the International Society of Bassists, Korb is artistic director for the upcoming 2013 ISB Convention in Rochester, NY (Eastman School of Music). Kristin tours across the world and has performed with jazz artists such as Llew Matthews, Kim Richmond, Pete Christlieb, Jeff Hamilton, Alex Riel and Jan Lundgren.

13 TIM KENNEDY DUO
Pianist and songwriter with great energy, a modern, retro approach and fearless creativity. While Kennedy's roots are firmly in jazz, he shows his versatility in a willingness to sink into a variety of genres, including gospel, pop, hip-hop and soul.
20 FRANK KOHL CD RELEASE “INVISIBLE MAN” - Special Event!
Excellent Seattle jazz guitarist greatly influenced by Wes Montgomery and Jimmy Smith! Kohl grew up in the New York jazz scene and graduated with a degree from Berklee. Forty years later, now focusing on recording and composing, Kohl will be performing great tunes this night from his new Pony Boy Records release “Invisible Man”. Joined by Steve Luceno on bass.

7 HAM CARSON QUARTET
Ham and crew play the fun-loving jazz and swing that sets the toes a-tapping! Seattle Times calls Ham "quite simply, the best swing clarinetist in town...one of Seattle's jazz treasures!" With a following of listeners, dancers and jazz aficionados, this regularly appearing group has been given a new chance for exposure! Come out and experience the fun.
14 DAN KRAMLICH GRUNGE TRIO
A unique group with a classic sound. Featuring jazz arrangements of heavy metal, rock & grunge tunes brought to life with the elegant sounds of piano, bass & drums! With the smile of a superstar, Kramlich has established himself as one of Seattle's most sought after performers, educators, and adjudicators. His style has been informed by legends Fred Hersch and Billy Hart, with whom he worked extensively while studying at Western Michigan University.
21 SUSAN PASCAL TRIO
Seattle jazz vibraphonist Pascal is a delightful musician whose eclectic musical interests and commitment to jazz have made her a local icon! She's toured the US and Singapore and can be heard on the soundtracks of many feature films. Check out her "blazing technique!" Joined by Chuck Deardorf, bass & Greg Williamson, drums.
28 MILO PETERSEN DUO
Renowned Seattle guitarist, drummer and composer whose lines are boppish and melodic. Petersen has been active in the Pacific Northwest jazz community since the late 70's. He's performed with some of the world's finest, including Joe Sample, Ernestine Anderson, Herb Ellis, Mose Allison and more, in addition to recording two CDs with master drummer Elvin Jones.

Kelley Johnson is an internationally award-winning jazz vocalist who is known and respected as an arranger, poet and lyricist with a personal body of recordings. Kelley’s lithe velvety voice mixes with a dynamic delivery and tricky colorful arrangements to showcase her interpretive finesse and inspired soloists. An organic groovy singer with a direct approach, Kelley reaches her audience with storytelling, subtlety, soulfulness and swing.

8 GREG WILLIAMSON QUARTET with BERNIE JACOBS
Drummer Williamson is Mr. Pony Boy Records himself, leading an excellent jazz quartet and "[driving] with a big band energy!" He's appeared on over 30 albums and toured with the big bands of Woody Herman, Glenn Miller and Harry James.
Joined by Bernie Jacobs who effortlessly transitions between instrument and vocals through rhythm and blues, jazz and pop landscapes. Called a "triple threat," Jacobs sings and plays flute and as well as soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone. He swings like Joe Williams and croons like Lou Rawls; always a crowd-pleaser as he puts on a great show! Performing tunes from his latest album "One by One".
15 KELLY EISENHOUR QUARTET
Elegant vocalist specializing in jazz standards, blues and soulful R&B. A wonderful improviser, musician and educator, she features many of her own original arrangements & compositions. Her many accomplishments include productions with Gladys Knight, such as the 2006 Grammy award-winning "One Voice," as well as a tour with the Boston Pops Orchestra conducted by Keith Lockhart. She's currently the Choral Director at Green River Community College in Auburn, WA. "Kelly Eisenhour is a prolific vocalist...she proves to be a seasoned professional with plenty of talent to handle any piece that comes her way."
22 LEAH STILLWELL QUARTET
Vocalist Stillwell has a conversationally warm sound & welcoming approach to her naturally gifted voice. Her selections are of interesting jazz standards & classics and her voice appeals to everyone - she's a hit! With a fresh new approach to a classic art form,Leah gracefully captures the style and charisma of jazz with her sultry voice and laid back expression. Check out her CD "So This is Love"!
29 JENNIFER KIENZLE & NANCY ERICKSON: RISING STARS
Since her arrival to Seattle in 2008, international jazz vocalist Jennifer Kienzle has emerged as a singer adept at conveying a direct and honest interpretation of the American songbook. Jennifer's playful lyricism and beautiful, pure tone pull her listeners in to the stories she sings. Winner of the 2014 Seattle-Kobe Jazz Vocalist Competition at Jazz Alley!
Erickson, 2012 winner of the Seattle-Kobe Jazz Vocalist Competition, is hitting her stride! She released her debut CD, “Prelude” in 2011 to very positive reviews and has become a staple in the Pacific Northwest Jazz scene. Her rich, mellow alto voice has been compared to Karen Carpenter and Diana Krall.
